Applicants will be tested in the field with another technician before being approved to start.

Job Overview:

We are hiring experienced Fiber Optic/ Cable Technicians in Columbus, OH

The role involves fiber installation and splicing, and may include some coaxial work.
This position is ideal for techs who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Proven Fiber Optic/ Cable experience (e.g., splicing, installation, troubleshooting)
• Willingness to perform both fiber and coax work, as needed
• Must pass a field test with another tech prior to onboarding
• Must own:
• Work vehicle (van, SUV, or truck – white color not required in this market)
• 28 ft. fiberglass ladder & 6 ft. step ladder
• Full tool set for fiber work (splicing tools, OTDR, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors and in various environments (attics, rooftops, etc.)

Other Information:

• 1099 contract role
• Paid per job (piece-rate basis)
• Ongoing work available based on performance and availability

• Professional cable/fiber: 1 year (Preferred)
