Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics that bring pergola construction projects to life. Your expertise will support construction, sales and engineering teams by translating concepts into clear, detailed CAD models and plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while honing your drafting skills with cutting-edge software tools. 100% Onsite position

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project specifications, sketches, and design concepts.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design requirements and produce detailed schematics.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp to create comprehensive models and plans.
• Manage communication with third party Engineering companies.
• Prepare construction documents and technical illustrations that adhere to industry standards and client expectations.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring precision and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in creating 2D animations or visualizations to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for easy access and version control.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD drafting software including AutoCAD and SketchUp,
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and construction processes.
• Ability to produce detailed schematics and technical drawings for various engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with drafting standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for collaborating across teams.
• Experience in creating 2D animations or visual presentations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar drafting software
• Experience in construction, architecture, or outdoor structures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict specifications
• Ability to interpret site plans, measurements, and architectural drawings
• Excellent communication and deadline-driven work habits

Schedule & Pay

• Hourly position (W-2)
• Flexible schedule with consistent weekly workload
• Competitive hourly rate based on skill level

• Prepare layouts, elevations, sections, and structural details for custom pergola systems
• Update drawings based on field measurements, engineering feedback, and client revisions

• Coordinate with project managers, sales team, and installers to ensure drawing accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
