Cabinet Engineer (Design)

Summary:
The Cabinet Engineer is responsible for interpreting all design inputs, verifying project-specific requirements, and producing accurate shop drawings for high-end residential cabinetry projects. This role bridges design intent and production clarity, ensuring all relevant details are communicated before manufacturing begins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review specifications for appliances, interior trim, flooring transitions, plumbing locations, and electrical details
• Translate architectural plans into precise CAD/Cabinet Vision shop drawings
• Collaborate directly with builders, interior designers, and architects to clarify design intent
• Integrate in-house redlines and revisions provided by the Project Manager or Operations team
• Produce a full design package including:
• Shop drawings
• Cutlists
• Hardware schedules
• Notes for production
• Coordinate with the Estimator and Operations Coordinator on changes that affect scope, cost, or timeline
• Maintain revision logs and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle

Tools & Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software and Cabinet Vision (or shop-specific CAD tools)
• Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
• Ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, and builder-specific requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
