Café Assistant – Columbus Coffee Albany

We’re looking for a Café Assistant to join our Front of House team at Columbus Coffee Albany. If you have great people skills, love working in a fast-paced café, and have a passion for exceptional customer service, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role

• Part-time position (Thursday, Friday & Saturday - your availability must include being able to work ALL of these days)
• Day shifts only – no nights! Café hours: 7am – 5pm

• Located in Albany (To be considered, you should live on Auckland’s North Shore or nearby suburbs, such as Albany, Browns Bay, Mairangi Bay, Torbay, Glenfield, Takapuna, Greenhithe, or Coatesville. Candidates from more than 30km away e.g.: South or West Auckland, will not be considered due to the commute.)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serving customers with a smile and ensuring they have a great café experience
• Preparing and presenting food and beverages
• Operating the point-of-sale system
• Assisting with barista duties (bonus if you have experience!)
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Supporting the kitchen team when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1-year previous Front of House experience required (with Barista/Beverage skills a plus)
• Passion for food, coffee, and outstanding customer service
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and committed to working Thursday, Friday & Saturday with the ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays
