OverviewDream Earth Bowls is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic mature, adult to join our team in the food industry. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers. Work includes preparing healthy bowls and smoothies. The ideal candidate must have experience taking and preparing customers orders. The person must possess strong time management skills and a commitment to food safety, making them a vital part of our operations. Must be able to work quickly while customers are watching/waiting. Tips in addition to hourly rate.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their needs and inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant or grocery store.
• Assist in food preparation while adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Help manage inventory levels, ensuring that products are stocked and organized.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and register operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred. Willing to train someone who has a genuine interest in preparing healthy, appetizing foods.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills to manage transactions effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Employment hours range from 8:30 to 5:30 M - F and 9:30 to 5:30 Saturday and Sunday. All employees must work at least one day per week until 5:30.
