Cafe Supervisor

Skills required

• Knowledge of food, food hygiene and food preparation

Qualifications Required

• Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
• First Aid at Work (Blueberry Café will pay for you to take this qualification online)
• FSA Food Allergy certificate

Main Job responsibilities

• To manage and organise the day to day running of the Café.
• To deal with recruitment, training and supervising staff.
• To carry out staff appraisals, disciplinaries and monitoring of staff performance
• Cashing up at the end of the day and reconciling the till and safe float.
• Independently opening and closing the café when required.
• To write staff rotas and find suitable cover for holidays and sickness.
• Receive deliveries and verifying that correct quantities have been delivered.
• Order new stock and managing stock rotation.
• Resolving customer complaints and recording them following the policy.
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to, filling in any relevant paperwork required and raising any concerns with management.
• Preparing food and drinks freshly to order, serving on the till and coffee machine.
• Greeting and advising customers
• To clean to a high standard the kitchen area, counter and café area following strict guidelines.
• Ensuring the monthly planner and all required paperwork is filled in daily.
• To monitor and prevent damage to work equipment and assets of the business
• To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
