Job Title: Cook - Moycullen, Co. Galway

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Objective:
To prepare and serve simple, high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role contributes to the smooth operation of the café and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook simple hot and cold dishes independently.
• Ensure food is fresh, well-presented, and of consistent quality.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in line with HACCP regulations.
• Order ingredients from approved suppliers as needed.
• Manage kitchen cleaning tasks and assist with general café cleaning duties.
• Provide excellent customer service when required.
• Support the small café team as needed and adapt to flexible tasks, including additional cleaning, to meet operational needs.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to cook simple dishes and follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn new methods and work independently.
• Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude.
• Must live in Ireland and have the right to work here.

Additional Information:

• No head chef on site – this person will take responsibility for cooking.
• Longer hours can be balanced with other duties, such as cleaning.
• A long-term commitment is preferred.
• Work as part of a small, friendly team; reliability is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From €13.50 per hour

• Moycullen, CO. Galway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
