Duties

• Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and preferences.
• Prepare and bake cakes, ensuring adherence to recipes and food safety standards.
• Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their vision and provide recommendations on cake designs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management of baking supplies and ingredients.
• Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional customer service during the event.

Experience

• Proven experience in cake decorating within the culinary or food industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
• Familiarity with food safety practices is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 48 per week
