About Us:

At Tinfeny’s, we are committed to delivering authentic Cambodian cuisine and sharing the rich flavors and history of this beautiful cuisine with our customers. We are currently seeking an experienced Cambodian Cuisine Specialist to join our team and help bring these dishes to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and Cook Traditional Cambodian Dishes: Create dishes such as traditional Cambodian soups (e.g., Somlor Korko, Somlor Machu Kreung), curries (Amok), stir-fries, rice-based meals, and appetizers.

Menu Development and Planning: Assist in developing seasonal and innovative menu offerings that reflect the best of Cambodian culinary traditions.

Food Quality Control: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.

Maintain Hygiene Standards: Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Stock and Inventory Management: Monitor inventory, maintain ingredient stock levels, and ensure the kitchen is always well-prepared with the required ingredients.

Collaboration with Team: Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth flow of operations, ensuring all dishes are served on time and to specification.

Customer Satisfaction: Contribute to an exceptional dining experience by preparing delicious, authentic Cambodian dishes.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of experience in preparing traditional Cambodian cuisine or similar Southeast Asian dishes.

Cooking Skills: Expertise in the preparation of Cambodian dishes, knowledge of Cambodian ingredients and culinary techniques.

Qualifications: Culinary qualification is desirable but not essential. A passion for cooking and a deep understanding of Cambodian food culture is key.

Other Skills: Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.

Pay and Benefits:

Hourly Rate: The minimum rate of pay is NZD 30 per hour. The maximum pay rate is NZD 35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Guaranteed Hours: The minimum guaranteed hours of work are 30 per week, with additional hours available based on business needs.

Work Schedule: This role includes weekends and will be on a rotating schedule to accommodate business needs.

Eligibility Requirements:

This position is open to applicants with legal eligibility to work in New Zealand, including those with valid work visas, residency, or citizenship.
