We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee our dispensary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sales, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth store operations. Pay is competitive and we offer a 401k and other benefits.
You will be responsible for the management, oversight, and daily operations of our retail cannabis store. Your primary goal: ensure that outstanding customer experiences are delivered while simultaneously ensuring that key performance indicators are met or exceeded. All work is performed in a manner that amplifies the mission and values of the company and creates a uniquely exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of the store including sales, inventory control, and cash handling
- Lead a team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Follow company policies and exceed in: Operations Management, Team Member Development, and Inventory Management
- Ensure company policies and best practices are observed in all store operations and by all Team Members.
- Ensure Team Member issues are resolved in a timely and respectful manner.
- Support team member development and success when they train, monitor, evaluate, coach and correct performance as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory and compliance with physical inventory audit requirements.
- Partner with marketing and the Purchasing Manager to escalate product issues and determine promotions, pricing, and purchases.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of recent experience in retail cannabis management (required)
- Experience in leading teams of 15+ (required)
- Knowledge of all local and state laws/regulations and compliance (required)
- Ability to show good track record in store management (required)
- Passion for the industry (required)
- Knowledge of P&L (required)
- Experienced in inventory management (required)
- Resident of Maine for 3+ years (required)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to effectively manage team and drive results
- Proficiency in inventory control and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong market knowledge to make informed business decisions
- Dependable, responsible, and a problem solver
- Demonstrate respect for and openness to cultural differences.
- Demonstrate respect and a positive, caring attitude towards all customers and colleagues.
- Able to read and understand financial reporting and proformas
- Possess expert knowledge about Cannabis products, methods of delivery and applications
- Demonstrate an understanding of cannabis culture, customer behavior and buying trends
- Be proficient with software and technology required of the role including the Inventory Management/Point of Sale systems, Email systems, Microsoft Office Suite, KPI dashboard, etc.
- Possess excellent written/verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, leadership skills, and team development skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21+
Work Environment
- Work is generally performed in a busy dispensary and requires frequent contact and interaction with customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Hours and shifts worked per week are varied and include mornings, nights, afternoons, and weekends. Shifts vary depending on hours of operation and business needs.
Physical Demands
- Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, iPad, receipt printer, and other point of sale equipment.
- Frequent reaching and grabbing.
- Frequent standing and moving for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, using ladders, and moving up to 50 lbs.
