St Joseph's Catholic College, Aberdeen is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Canteen Officer to join our vibrant school community for Term 3 (21 July to 26 September 2025). This role offers 30 hours per week in a supportive and engaging environment.

Nestled among the scenic farmlands of the Hunter Valley, our co-educational Year 7–12 college is dedicated to nurturing the academic, social, physical, and spiritual growth of every student. Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Canteen Officer will support the development of strong relationships within the school community in particular with the students, parents and volunteers, teachers and other school personnel.

Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated understanding of current Work, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of preparation, proper storage and disposal of food.
  • Knowledge of cleaning, and hand hygiene.
  • Practical experience in the operation of a café or canteen.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and the ability to achieve organisational and team values, goals and objectives and to behave professionally.
  • Experience in handling cash.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Food Handling Certificate
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
