Capitol Hill Family Assistant Needed

A wonderful return client of mine is searching for a family assistant as their nanny of 5 years is leaving to work in an admin role. Finding the right individual for this role will allow them to prioritize what truly matters—spending quality time together, building cherished memories, and savoring the precious moments in life, all without the constant pressure of daily tasks weighing them down. These girls can be described as imaginative, kind, playful, and a bit stubborn. They enjoy art, imaginative play, piano, choir, and reading. As a family, you can find them baking and exploring parks and the city, and during the winter, you can find them skiing on slopes.

Their guiding principle is to always lend a hand to others in need. Ultimately, what matters most is embracing the values of compassion and integrity and endeavoring to be the best versions of themselves.

ABOUT THE FAMILY ASSISTANT: The ideal candidate will be someone who is a self-starter and organized. This person will take on the important responsibility of keeping the home running smoothly, which includes coordinating activities and ensuring that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there, assisting with preparing meals, family laundry, errands, keeping the home organized, and supporting children with their activities and homework. Moreover, this assistant should embody kindness and compassion, creating a nurturing environment as they offer valuable guidance and mentorship to both girls. Their supportive demeanor will play a crucial role in fostering confidence and growth, ensuring that each girl feels empowered and understood.

HOURS: Monday through Friday, 12-6p, though they have some wiggle room for the right candidate

RATE: Please share your rate in the ad; they are prepared to offer a competitive rate

START DATE: As soon as the candidate is available, ideally by February 2025

LONGEVITY: 2 plus years

TRAVEL: None

PETS: Yes, two dogs who are sweet-natured

QUALIFICATIONS:

- At least two years of family assistant or house management experience

- Clean background check

- Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified and or willingness to do so before the start date

- Clean driving record

- Non-smoking, vaping, or illegal drugs

- Always maintain good, open, and honest communication with parents

- Will be attentive to their girl’s needs
