Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for maintaining and repairing vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles meet safety standards.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and disassemble vehicle components.
• Conduct equipment repair and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of workshop machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
• Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working with various automotive equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot automotive issues effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand schematics related to automotive systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
• A valid driving licence is essential for this position.
