We are currently looking for a Carbide Saw Grinder at our Mississauga, Ontario location. This position will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to machines. In manufacturing facilities where tooling products are made, our operators must decide the best way to service and assemble components by studying blueprints, supervisor’s directions, or sketches made by the sales and/or engineering. The successful candidate must be mechanically inclined with a keen attention to detail before any servicing is made.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Observes machine operation to verify theaccuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper. Adjust themachine to control part process.
- Inspects cutting tools for sharpness and usability
- Works in teams to troubleshoot manufacturing problems and perform quality assurance checks of our work.
- Clean and maintains machine, tooling, and parts to maintain equipment in optimal production condition
- Exercises special care to ensure the machine is running correctly as damage to a machine may be costly.
- Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries following safety regulations
- Final inspection and places orders on the shelf for deliveries
Essential Job Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 6-18 months experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a training program or equivalent
Required Skills: Operator and set up CNC equipment
Preferred Skills: Interpreting blueprints and works instructions
Physical Requirements: Capable of handling 50 lb. The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time.

SALARY: NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.51-$30.00 per hour
