The Carpenter is responsible for carrying out carpentry and woodwork activities at the project site including fabrication, installation, repair, and finishing of wooden and board-based elements as per drawings and site instructions. The role ensures quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion of carpentry tasks.

Key Responsibilities Site Work Execution

• Perform carpentry work as per drawings and site measurements
• Cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden and board materials
• Execute work for furniture, doors, partitions, paneling, ceilings, and cabinets
• Install frames, shutters, hardware, and fittings
• Carry out repair and modification work when required

Measurement & Layout

• Take accurate site measurements before fabrication
• Mark layouts as per drawings and supervisor instructions
• Ensure proper alignment and leveling of installed work

Material Handling

• Select and check materials before use
• Use plywood, laminate, MDF, veneer, solid wood, and boards properly
• Minimize wastage of materials
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition

Tool & Machine Operation

• Safely operate carpentry tools and machines
• Use cutting machines, drills, routers, planers, and hand tools
• Follow safety guidelines while using power tools

• Quality & Finishing
• Ensure proper finishing and neat workmanship
• Check joints, edges, and fittings for quality
• Rectify defects pointed out by supervisor or QC team

Safety & Compliance

• Follow site safety rules and PPE requirements
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Follow instructions of site supervisor and safety officer

Required Skills

• Ability to read basic carpentry drawings
• Good measurement and cutting accuracy
• Knowledge of furniture and interior works
• Experience with laminates and modular furniture
• Tool handling skills
• Practical problem-solving at site

Tools Knowledge (Preferred)

• Circular saw
• Drill machine
• Router
• Planer
• Cutting and edge tools
• Measuring tools

Qualification

• ITI Carpenter / Skilled Trade Certification (preferred)
• Or proven hands-on carpentry experience

Experience

• Helper: 0–2 years
• Carpenter: 3–8 years

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
