Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, general construction and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work on a wood frame multifamily, utilizing a wide range of tools and techniques. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- FLHA, Site inspections. Level 2 first aid an asset
- Operate hand tools, power tools and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with deficiency work.
- Measure materials accurately for construction estimating purposes.
- Assemble components and fixtures as per project specifications.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for various phases of construction projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Extensive experience with multifamily construction.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialized construction equipment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning.
- Experience with rebar installation, framing techniques, electrical systems, plumbing installations, and general handyman skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements. This position is ideal for candidates with comprehensive construction experience seeking a dynamic role that encompasses multiple trades and skill sets within the industry.
- Level 2 First Aid or willing to complete course
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
