This role involves carrying out day-to-day carpentry maintenance, repairs, and small project works across industrial facilities, ensuring all areas remain safe, compliant, and in good working order.
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Carpenter to undertake routine maintenance and support small project works across the site. The role includes general carpentry repairs and carrying out general facility requests, as well as assisting with refurbishment and improvement projects, including office fit-outs and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive carpentry maintenance works.
- Complete repairs to doors, frames, locks, partitions, ceilings, flooring etc..
- Install stud walls, plasterboard, suspended ceilings, flooring, and general joinery as required.
- Support small refurbishment, upgrade, and improvement projects.
- Assist with office fit-outs and facility request works.
- Ensure all works are completed in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of work and housekeeping at all times.
- Work independently using own initiative and as part of a wider team when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3/4 years’ experience in industrial, commercial, or similar environments.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification required.
- Working at Heights certification an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sligo, County Sligo: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Carpentry: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Safepass and Manual Handling (required)
