Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter / General Tradesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in carpentry, drywall, framing, and general construction, with the ability to work on a variety of institutional and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and install wood and metal doors and frames
• Install and finish drywall, including taping, mudding and sanding
• Perform painting tasks with attention to detail
• Install steel studs and framing systems
• Repair and install suspended ceiling systems
• Complete flooring repairs and installations (various materials)
• Carry out basic concrete and masonry work
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Knowledge of building codes and construction standards
• Collaborate with team members and other trades on-site

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter or general tradesperson
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools
• Experience with both institutional and commercial projects is an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical condition and stamina
• Valid driver’s license and Transportation is a must
• Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights) are an asset but we do offer training
• Ability to be cleared to do works in government buildings

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
