Carpenter/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including frame carpentry, remodeling, and metal stud framing. This role requires a hands-on approach to building and construction, with an emphasis on quality workmanship and attention to detail. The Carpenter/Laborer will work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
• Perform metal stud framing for walls and ceilings as needed.
• Assist in remodeling projects by removing existing structures and installing new materials.
• Assemble furniture, cabinets, and other wooden items according to specifications.
• Hang doors and install hardware as required for various projects.
• Apply plaster or drywall finishes to surfaces as needed.
• Conduct construction painting tasks to ensure a polished final appearance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.

Experience

• Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical work is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading is essential for interpreting project plans effectively.
• Experience in plastering and construction painting is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
