Description of Work
This Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is based in the Winston Salem Unit office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide casework support to counselors. The major duties include support for general caseloads as well as providing support in all aspects of office needs. The position requires a wide range of knowledge regarding community resources and local employers as well as the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic data to assist counselor with determining eligibility and required rehabilitation services.
- Assist with develop a written plan of services in conjunction with the consumer, parent and/or guardian; inputting casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Preparing documents including authorizations and correspondences as needed; and completing all related administrative tasks in tandem with the processing assistant.
- Monitor the consumer's progress throughout the service delivery process.
- Work directly with community partners in order to assist individuals with disabilities in becoming suitably employed.
- Document service delivery and case progress in the case management system as required by agency policy.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience;
