The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately handling cash, card, and other forms of payment. The role involves operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, processing transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and respond to their inquiries.
• Operate the cash register or POS system to process sales transactions.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments accurately.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as per company policies.
• Count and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the checkout area.
• Assist with stocking shelves or displays when needed.
• Bag or package purchased items carefully and efficiently.
• Follow company procedures for handling returns, voids, and price overrides.
• Report any discrepancies, errors, or suspicious transactions to management.
• Provide information on products, promotions, and store policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be honest, reliable, and punctual.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
