We are a family-owned garden centre looking for a FULL TIME- reliable and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Cashier/Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers and handling all aspects of the checkout process.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
• Scan and bag customer purchases accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
• Assist customers with inquiries about products and services
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Support the sales team by restocking shelves and ensuring that products are displayed appropriately
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a retail environment preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Basic math skills
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as required
