Responsibilities

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately and quickly
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding product selections
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy and integrity
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while adhering to store policies on phone etiquette and customer interactions
• Support inventory management by stocking new products, conducting stock counts, and assisting with inventory audits

Experience

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customer groups
• Demonstrated supervisory experience is advantageous for those interested in team leadership opportunities
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are essential for engaging with customers and team members
• Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment will help you excel in this role

Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour
