The Opportunity

The casual Event Rigger role will execute a variety of event rigging, assist the rigging team on larger/more complex rigging events and lead the rigging team on smaller events. Working mainly in a hospitality or convention/exhibition center environment the Event Rigger role will uphold the highest level of customer service and safety.

Core Responsibilities

• Prep rigging equipment, tools and safety equipment as per event requirement ensuring equipment is in service and fit for use.
• Ensure all rigging is executed safely, complying with legislative, manufacturer and Encore requirements, and industry best practices
• De-prep rigging equipment, tools and safety equipment ensuring equipment is packed away and stored properly, equipment is maintained and any defective equipment is out of serviced and reported.
• Ability to interpret rigging plots, CAD plans, working load limits and calculate loads

Your Background

• Experience in the Events Industry
• EWP & Intermediate Riggers ticket
• Ability work as pert of team in a hospitality environment
• Experience with rigging load calculations highly regarded
• Previous experience supervising a rigging team highly regarded
• Customer centric and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
