Category Specialist role within the Global Software Category under the Technology Procurement Portfolio

About your role
As the Category Specialist – Software, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Global Software category strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology procurement professional. You will enjoy collaborating with a range of stakeholders to influence and manage a broad portfolio of software procurement activities. You have a passion for innovation and can speak the language of today’s technology landscape.
Reporting to the Manager Software you will:
Support the Manager Software in managing the software category including fact base development, strategy development, strategy implementation, contract implementation and contract/supplier management
Deliver strategic software sourcing projects
Build and manage effective relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders
Provide commercial leadership and guidance to broader organization in relation to the category
Build and grow relationships with category suppliers to drive innovation and value through effective relationship management programs
Collaborate with other areas of the broader technology procurement team who support the category
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Experience in a Technology Procurement capacity
Demonstrated experience driving successful commercial outcomes
Ability to manage competing priorities
Strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage expectations
Previous experience purchasing & managing software licences
