About the Role:

Edify School, Chikkabanavara is inviting applications for the position of English Teacher for Grades 6 to 8 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate English language and literature lessons, nurturing students' reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. The teacher will also contribute to the overall academic and emotional development of middle school learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons in alignment with CBSE curriculum standards.
• Foster strong language skills including grammar, composition, comprehension, and literature analysis.
• Encourage critical thinking and effective communication through discussions, presentations, and creative activities.
• Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records including student portfolios, performance data, and report cards.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and respectful behavior.
• Coordinate with other subject teachers and participate in cross-curricular activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents through PTMs and other formal/informal channels.
• Support school-wide initiatives, competitions, and cultural or literary events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a relevant field; B.Ed is mandatory.
• Prior teaching experience in CBSE middle school (Grades 6–8) preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
• Familiarity with student-centric, activity-based, or experiential learning approaches is an advantage.
