Cctv Product Manager - Connect Surveillance & Security

We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Connect Surveillance & Security team at Dicker Data. This Morningside-based position has national responsibility and is focused on selling and marketing CCTV products and solutions across Dicker Data's channel partner Base to create demand and drive sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage product roadmaps, lifecycle, product ranges, margins, and pricing, and conduct market analysis. Work with vendors to develop, communicate, and implement long-term strategies for assigned brands.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies and manage product launches.
  • Prepare sales forecasting, promotional activity, and stock ordering proposals to ensure the achievement of internal budgets and vendor rebate incentives. Negotiate pricing and rebates with vendors to maximise profitability.
  • Oversee all excess and aged inventory management.
  • Devise, manage and successfully implement marketing budgets and strategies, and work with vendors where applicable to gain marketing funds to support.
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly forecasts/budgeting updates, review performance against targets, and devise strategies to ensure targets are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Dicker Data partners, becoming a trusted advisor. Ensure the identification of opportunities, taking specific actions to ensure that Dicker Data is well-positioned to win business.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or roadblocks that may affect the client's satisfaction or success. This includes mitigating risks and finding solutions to challenges.


Core competencies sought:

  • >3 years of Product Management or BDM experience with a proven track record in developing new business and maintaining existing business, preferably in the IT industry
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise workload to meet company and customer expectations.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts, establishing respectful and positive relationships.
  • Strong numeracy and Intermediate MS Excel skills with an understanding of back-end administration procedures.
  • High level of initiative and enthusiasm, but able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Innovative, goal-driven, and determined, with a clear vision of company and financial objectives.
