CDNT Therapy Assistant
Permanent Contract - 39 hours per week
Location: Kildare Town and Athy, Co. Kildare
Therapy Assistant Salary Scale: €34,434 to max €38,813 DOE
In line with the HSE National Programme for Progressing Disability Services, Kare is the Lead Agency for the provision of supports across South Kildare West Wicklow. The successful candidate will join an established Interdisciplinary CDNT, providing quality, evidenced based and family-centred supports for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who present with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework, to support their development to enable active participation in community life.
This role includes clinical and administrative duties that support the CDNT team in providing a high-quality service to users.
Responsibilities
Follow plans as determined and delegated by a Therapist and collaborate with the child/young person
Carry out duties related to the planning, organisation and maintenance of Therapy programmes
Liaise with other staff and agencies in the provision of therapeutic programmes
Prepare resources for assessment / intervention for clinic appointments, home visits and group interventions
Work directly with child/young person under the direction of the Therapist
Carry out the administrative and clerical duties required to support the CDNT team
Requirements
Study towards a relevant Therapy degree or a minimum qualification of QQI Level 5 Major Award in Health Service Skills
Experience supporting children/young people with disabilities/complex needs is desirable
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrate effective time management
Good administration skills
Own transport and a Full, Clean Drivers Licence
