Description:
Position Purpose
As the Central Donor Team Leader, you will lead a national function that plays a critical role in helping patients access donor programs with confidence, clarity, and care. You will oversee the coordination, governance, and continuous improvement of donor services, ensuring every process reflects best practice, regulatory compliance, and a deeply compassionate approach.
This role blends people leadership, operational management, and project delivery – leading a dedicated team, strengthening operational performance, and ensuring every patient interaction is handled with empathy, professionalism, and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the Central Donor Team, fostering a collaborative and values-driven culture
Oversee day-to-day donor service operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality outcomes
Manage end-to-end donor workflows, ensuring compliance with Australian legislation and organisational standards
Maintain and optimise donor databases, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and effective process flow
Drive the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures
Coordinate and deliver training programs to build team capability across donor services, systems, and compliance
Build strong relationships with internal teams, clinics, and external stakeholders
Communicate with patients and stakeholders in a clear, respectful, and supportive manner
Lead workforce planning activities including recruitment, rostering, and performance management
Ensure readiness for audits and accreditation, supporting quality and compliance initiatives
Manage inventory and logistics associated with donor programs
Lead and contribute to key projects, including system improvements and service enhancements
Monitor performance through reporting and KPI tracking, identifying opportunities for improvement
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient and clinician experience
Provide leadership support during critical or out-of-hours service requirements when needed
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will have:
A relevant degree in nursing, allied health, business or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop teams
Strong understanding of donor services, IVF processes, or healthcare compliance frameworks (or the ability to quickly develop this expertise)
Demonstrated experience managing highly regulated and complex systems, databases, and operational workflows
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to patient-centred care
