Introduction:

At Green Leaves Early Learning, we take pride in placing our teams and children at the heart of everything we do. From greeting our families each morning with a friendly smile and a barista-made coffee and treat, to conjuring up interesting and exciting food for our children, it’s all in a day’s work as Chef of our AshgroveCottage Centre. Day to day, in this role, you can enjoy:

Using your mastery knowledge of cooking, to plan an interesting and exciting menu for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old
Preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, as well as working to dietary requirements for babies and children
Confidently managing the kitchen autonomously, ensuring effective stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for your kitchen
Ensuring the highest level of food safety and supervision in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards
Mentoring and guiding a kitchen hand in a professional environment, to deliver the highest quality of food and service
Providing thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Educators, to our littlest learners.

Ideally, we’d love for you to hold:
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain upon commencement)
A current State relevant Working with Children's Check (or have the willingness to obtain)
Current Child Protection Training (or have the willingness to obtain)
Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates (or have the willingness to obtain)
National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months (or willingness to obtain)
Extraordinary verbal, written and time management skills
The availability to work 5 days.
