Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various vehicle makes and models, particularly GM vehicles. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues.
- Perform automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems.
- Execute auto body repair tasks as needed to restore vehicles to optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems effectively.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to ensure timely service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role in a dealership or independent shop.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in welding and auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.63 - $28.46 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
