Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Certified Dietary Manager and Food Services Director to lead our dietary operations with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive care plans that incorporate nutritional assessments, dietary modifications, and specialized feeding techniques such as tube feeding.
- Manage daily food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory control, and sanitation standards to ensure high-quality service.
- Supervise dietary staff by providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Conduct patient or resident assessments to tailor nutrition plans that support health goals, including diagnostic evaluations when necessary.
- Monitor compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations related to food safety and nutrition standards.
- Oversee budgeting processes for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to create personalized care plans that address specific dietary needs such as physiology considerations or specialized diets like tube feeding.
- Lead health coaching initiatives aimed at promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices among residents or patients.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential demonstrating expertise in dietetics and management principles.
- Proven management experience within dietary departments, preferably in assisted living or healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and care planning tailored to diverse populations including elderly or medically complex individuals.
- Experience supervising staff members in fast-paced environments with a focus on teamwork and leadership development.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and the ability to interpret diagnostic information relevant to nutritional care.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
