Orthodontic Assistant – Join Our Dynamic Team!
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to become a valued member of our dynamic orthodontic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the efficient operation of our practice. Certification is required. This position demands a solid understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures by preparing and passing instruments and materials
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (e.g., Ortho2 Edge)
- Manage patient flow to ensure an efficient and positive experience
- Perform occasional administrative tasks, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries
- Support orthodontic procedures with specialized knowledge and technique
- Open and close the office, complete housekeeping tasks
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required; experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is a strong asset
- Sound knowledge of dental assisting practices and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members
- HARP certification is required
Office Hours:
- Monday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: Clinical only – Flexible hours (open occasionally, especially in summer)
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Closed Fridays in July and August)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
