About the role
The Change Lead is responsible for leading and facilitating change management activities across the Go Digital Programme and within individual Go Digital Projects to ensure the successful delivery of the programme and project change initiatives and strategic outcomes.
The role is responsible for analysing, planning, implementing, and evaluating change strategies, facilitating a collaborative approach to change across the Go Digital Programme and building ownership and capability in change leadership.
The Go Digital Programme is an investment in transforming council's digital operating systems, the way we work, and how our customers engage with Council.
This is Hutt City Council's response to the growing expectations of our customers for a council that is innovative and effective; and the delivers services when and where people need them.

About You
Hutt City Council is seeking an experienced Change Manager to join our Go Digital team. You will be responsible for analysing, planning, implementing, and evaluating change strategies, facilitating a collaborative approach to change across the Go Digital Programme and building ownership and capability in change leadership.
This is a fast paced and important role within Council and requires and energetic team player who is able to provide change support across the programme and numerous project teams. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes to succeed in this position:
- Previous experience in a change lead, management or other relevant role
- Good knowledge of change management techniques
- Demonstrated ability to see the "big picture" and understand the strategic context of programme, projects and change.
- Proven decision-making experience and leadership demonstrated in coordinating and integrating change
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the effective performance of a group
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, prioritise workload and be adaptable to changing priorities.
