The TAFE NSW Manufacturing Centres of Excellence (MCoE), are National Centres of Excellence, a joint initiative between the Australian Government and NSW Government under the National Skills Agreement.
MCoEs are an innovative education model to tackle the manufacturing skills challenge for NSW and Australia. Located in Western Sydney, the Hunter, and the Illawarra, each centre specialises in different areas. These include advanced manufacturing with robotics and 3D printing, supporting clean energy in net zero manufacturing and sustainable manufacturing practices, supporting the heavy manufacturing industry, and supporting new and existing workforce build the skills they need for the future.

The Institutes of Applied Technology (IAT) are innovative partnerships between TAFE NSW, industry and universities, supported by the Department of Education. Located in Sydney and Western Sydney, the Institutes focus on delivering practical, real‑world skills that align directly with workplace needs. Their course offerings span high‑demand fields such as construction project management, artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security and computer‑aided design (CAD).

About the role
As a Change Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of innovative programs across both MCoE and IAT. You will lead the design, development and implementation of change strategies that drive business readiness, adoption and sustained behavioural change across diverse operational environments.
Working closely with Senior leaders, subject matter experts and managers, you will guide teams through complex transformation activities, ensuring impacts are well understood and change is embedded effectively. This role will see you partnering with a highly varied workforce—spanning educators, technical specialists, operational staff and industry collaborators—to build capability, minimise disruption and enable teams to confidently navigate change. Your ability to engage stakeholders, coordinate activity across multiple projects and maintain momentum in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment will be critical to achieving successful outcomes.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel regionally as required to the three MCoE campuses at Newcastle, Wetherill Park and Wollongong, as well as the two Institute of Applied Technology campuses at Kingswood and Meadowbank.
About You
You are an experienced change professional with a strong track record of delivering organisational change across complex systems and diverse stakeholder groups. Skilled in collaboration, negotiation and influence, you excel at building trust, shaping stakeholder engagement and bringing people on the journey. You thrive when working with varied teams and can confidently translate complex information into clear, compelling messages tailored to different audiences. Your analytical thinking helps you anticipate issues and design practical solutions, while your communication skills enable you to support leaders and empower staff through periods of transition. With a proactive and adaptable approach, you are comfortable navigating shifting priorities and enjoy contributing to innovative, future‑focused initiatives that make a real impact.
To be successful in this role you will hold a:
  • Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in the leading, managing, coordinating and supporting organisational change delivery in a large private or public sector organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing change management plans to support successful project deployment
