- Leading Not-for-Profit Organisation
- Providing spiritual, pastoral, and emotional support to residents, families, and staff.
- Leading chapel services, spiritual/reminiscence groups, and memorial services.
- Offering prayer and pastoral care, helping residents find meaning, purpose, and connection in their journey of aging.
- Acting as an integral member of the leadership team, providing support to the Centre Manager and contributing to decision-making.
- Representing the centre at Salvation Army Local leadership gatherings and offering care and support in line with The Salvation Army's mission to share the love of Jesus.
- A strong commitment to the Christian faith and The Salvation Army's mission.
- The ability to offer prayer and pastoral care with compassion and sensitivity.
- Experience in leading chapel services and conducting funerals / memorial services.
- A solid understanding of chaplaincy principles and practices, especially in relation to aged care.
- A Diploma of Chaplaincy or a willingness to obtain one within two years, funded by The Salvation Army.
- A uniformed Salvationist or a committed Christian who is active in their church and has a heart for serving others.
- The ability to wear a recognisable Salvation Army uniform and represent The Salvation Army with integrity.
- A current driver’s license and a reliable registered vehicle.
- A letter of reference from your minister/pastor or Officer is essential.
