About the Position:

As an Charity & NFP Account Manager, you will manage, grow, and support relationships with not-for-profit organizations, delivering a high standard of client service and strategic guidance. You will serve as a trusted partner and primary point of contact, ensuring consistent, proactive communication and a strong understanding of each client’s goals and evolving needs, using warm leads and inside sales opportunities.

Success in this role requires a balance of relationship management, operational coordination, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Account Management & Service (30%)

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding client needs, goals, and service requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of client requests, orders, and inquiries.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with existing clients to confirm satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
  • Ensure all client information is accurate, current, and properly maintained in the CRM and accounting systems at all times.

Client Communications & Touchpoint Management (20%)

  • Draft, manage, and deploy client touchpoint communications on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Create and send client emails related to programs, services, promotions, updates, and follow-ups.
  • Track engagement and outcomes of client communications and adjust messaging as needed.
  • Maintain consistent, professional, and brand-aligned messaging across all client touchpoints.

Business Development & Growth (20%)

  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, community connections, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Actively seek client referrals within the community, including local businesses, charities, and partner organizations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts by introducing additional services, programs, or offerings.
  • Support initiatives aimed at acquiring new clients and increasing overall company revenue.
  • Review, discuss, and present information to internal teams regarding client programs, including how programs can be revived, enhanced, or repositioned.
  • Communicate the benefits of programs clearly to both internal teams and clients.
  • Support internal teams as required to ensure client programs are delivered effectively and consistently.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and team discussions related to client accounts, programs, and company initiatives.

Metrics, Reporting & Administration (10%)

  • Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs related to client engagement, communications, and growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in CRM and accounting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, reporting standards, and data accuracy expectations.

Community Engagement & Referrals (5%)

  • Build and maintain relationships with local charities, community organizations, and referral sources.
  • Actively request and cultivate referrals within the community to support company growth and brand presence.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of knowledge and/or experience of the NFP and charities sector (required)
  • Degree/Diploma in Business/Communications/Social Sciences /Fundraising or relevant work experience would be an asset.
  • 2-3 years of account management, relationship management, and business development experience would be an asset.
  • Planning and logistics experience would be an asset.
  • Charitable fundraising experience is not necessary but would be an asset
  • Experience using an online data management system, CRM and ERP systems

Skills and Attributes:

  • Have a passion for helping charities and NFPs in these challenging times
  • Ability to build, deepen, and maintain charity & NFP relationships
  • Incredible attention to detail, highly organized and remains calm under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times and manage a pipeline at any given time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Easy to adapt and be flexible to the needs of clients and the NFP sector
