Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting an ambitious Chartered Tax Advisor. The role is open to candidates at either Consultant or Senior Consultant level, depending on qualifications and experience. Flexible working arrangements, including part-time options, will be considered for the right candidate.
Depending on experience and level, the successful candidate will:
- Manage and deliver tax consultancy and restructuring assignments across all tax heads (personal taxes, capital taxes, VAT, etc.) to a diverse client base. Our client base consists of accountancy practices, financial advisors, private clients and SMEs;
- Prepare and submit tax computations and compliance returns, including Personal Tax, CGT, and CAT.
- Provide tax planning advice for scenarios such as business succession, company reconstructions, VAT on property, estate planning, and sales of businesses or companies.
- Prepare detailed tax disclosures to the Irish Revenue Commissioners.
- Research and interpret Irish tax legislation, case law, and Revenue guidance to develop practical client solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members (Senior level).
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
- Collaborate with accountants, legal advisors, and other professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent Taxkey in meetings with clients, Revenue, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of technical knowledge within the firm.
Candidate essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
- Proven experience working across multiple tax heads in a tax or accounting firm.
- Strong communication skills with a desire to be a team player.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Solid IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements for Senior Role:
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience advising on complex tax consultancy assignments, particularly capital taxes and VAT.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and developing team members.
- Experience advising private and SME clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €60,000.00-€85,000.00 per year
