As an elite event space for social and corporate events in the GTA, Bellvue Manor is known for its stunning venue and unforgettable dining experiences.
We are currently looking for a Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. In this position you will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the successful operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, managing, and supervising station
- Assisting in supervising and instructing junior kitchen staff in handling of food, preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, while ensuring efficiency
- Quality control of all ingredients and dishes
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and safety standards
- Ensuring food preparation and kitchen exceed health and safety standards and codes, and food is properly stored and safely handled for consumption
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work as a team member
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills
- Strong knowledge of kitchen health and safety requirements, safe food storage guidelines, and various kitchen equipment
- Food handler certification a must
- First aid and WHMIS training a plus
- Culinary school is an asset
- Large volume banquet experience
Job Requirements
- Availability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation
