Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor food quality during service to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes
  • Manage specific sections of the kitchen, such as garde manger or station responsibilities
  • Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests or servers
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and storage
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of meal preparation for different cuisines or specialties such as garde manger is a plus
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Attention to detail in presentation and quality control
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
