Job Title: Chef de Partie - Pastry Production
Location: Mandai Food Fab, Singapore
Reports to: Head Chef
Job Summary:
The Chef de Partie - Pastry Production is responsible for managing a section of the pastry kitchen, ensuring high-quality production of cakes and desserts. This role involves hands-on production, overseeing junior staff, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring consistency in all baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pastry Production:
- Prepare, bake, and finish cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all products meet the brand’s visual and taste quality standards.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in the onboarding of new team members, guiding them through standard operating procedures.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure consistency in production and presentation of baked goods.
- Monitor the quality of ingredients and report any quality issues to the Head Chef.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies in the pastry section.
- Assist with inventory checks and provide input for ordering ingredients.
- Hygiene and Safety:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines and ensure all team members comply with food safety regulations.
- Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
- Efficiency and Productivity:
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
- Contribute to minimizing waste through effective planning and ingredient usage.
- Creativity and Development:
- Assist in the development of new products and seasonal items in collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Keep up with current trends in pastry and baking to bring fresh ideas to the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, or similar role in a pastry or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and decoration.
- Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative flair with a passion for innovation in pastry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and kitchen operations.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, flexible work on weekends as required.
- Overtime pay provided for additional hours worked.
- The work environment includes standing for long periods and handling kitchen equipment and hot ovens.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,500.00 per month
