Chef Opportunity in a Busy School Kitchen

Permanent Part-Time | Education Sector

Location: Gatton, QLD

Roster

• Sunday: 6:00am-2:00pm
• Monday: 7:00am-3:00pm
• Tuesday & Wednesday: 11:00am-7:00pm

Gather by Cater Care is seeking a qualified and motivated Chef to join our education site in Gatton. You'll play a key role in preparing fresh, nutritious meals for students and staff while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety.

This role is ideal for a reliable chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in delivering consistently excellent food.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals
• Support high-volume and bulk meal production
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health & safety standards
• Deliver excellent customer service while working collaboratively with the kitchen team

Skills and Experiences:
Your Background

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Bulk catering or education sector experience is highly regarded
• Strong organisation, communication and time management skills
• Reliable team player with a commitment to quality and food safety

Requirements

Successful applicants must be able to obtain or hold a valid Working with Children Check.
