Location: Kingscliff, NSW
Roster: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday

Cater Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to lead the culinary operations at our aged care residence in Kingscliff, home to approximately 70 residents.

This is an opportunity to combine your passion for food with strong operational leadership, ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a welcoming dining environment.

Working closely with site staff and operational leaders, you'll oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain exceptional standards, and contribute positively to the wellbeing of those in your care.

About The Role

As Chef Manager, you will take ownership of both kitchen operations and site management responsibilities, including:

Leading the preparation and presentation of quality meals
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
Managing stock ordering, rotation and inventory control
Supporting bulk meal production and service delivery
Preparing texture-modified meals to meet resident dietary needs
Monitoring labour, food and operational costs
Assisting with recruitment and team development alongside the Operations Manager
Driving a positive kitchen culture focused on quality, efficiency and care

Skills and Experiences:
About You

You are a hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and service. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Previous experience managing kitchen operations and/or catering sites
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing labour and food costs
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
The ability to work autonomously while fostering strong team collaboration
