Location: The Basin, Victoria
Roster: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 9:30am - 5:30pm
Pay Rate: $32 per hour + Super
We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part-time basis.
This is a hands-on role within a large, well-established residential aged care home comprising nine residential wings, supported by a collaborative kitchen team and a welcoming community of residents.
Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will play an important role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that contribute to the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.
This position also provides opportunities for ongoing employment and career development within the organisation.

- Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations

- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen while following food safety and WHS requirements
- Provide friendly, efficient service and contribute positively to a respectful team environment
About You
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Chef role, with aged care experience essential
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a care-focused environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
- Successful applicants must have a current year Flu Vaccination and undertake a National Criminal History Check, or be willing to obtain one.
- Australian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority consideration. However, applications from candidates holding valid work rights in Australia are also encouraged and welcomed.
