Chemical Wastewater Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemicals Strategy Manager to lead our initiatives in the chemical management sector. This role involves developing and implementing strategies for water treatment, wastewater treatment, and overall chemical usage optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for chemical management in water treatment and wastewater treatment processes.
• Analyze data collection methods and results to optimize chemical usage and improve operational performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build and maintain distributed control systems that monitor chemical processes.
• Conduct assessments of current practices, identifying areas for improvement in chemical handling and application.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to the handling of chemicals, including heavy lifting protocols when necessary.
• Provide training and support to staff on best practices for chemical management and usage.
• Manage tanker operations related to chemical transportation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and application rates.

Experience

• Proven experience in chemicals management or a related field, with a focus on water treatment or wastewater treatment processes.
• Familiarity with distributed control systems and their application in chemical management is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
• Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops on chemical safety and handling procedures.
• • Responsible to ensure all tools/equipment provided to the Chemical Waste Treatment areas are maintained (tanks, pumps, solutions, fixtures, rectifiers and all associated equipment)

• Responsible for cleanliness: i.e. housekeeping in Chemical, Waste Treatment and R&D areas.

• Identify and implement cost savings measures when applicable throughout the facility.

• Manage daily/weekly routine preventative maintenance operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
