About the role:

The Chief Concierge is responsible for effectively monitoring the operations of the Concierge and Bell Departments as well Valet and Parking Operations. The Chief Concierge duties include providing support and guidance to fellow associates to ensure a successful and effective operation. Ensure standards are achieved and procedures maintained. Maximise profitability while achieving a high standard of service and level of guest satisfaction.

Working with the Bell, Concierge and Bell teams and ensure that they conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the day to day leadership and supervision of associates working in the department.
  • Assist Front Office Manager and Director of Rooms in driving Medallia results and guest satisfaction scores( KPI’s) in line with Park Hyatt Auckland’s goal setting
  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of the Concierge team members, ensuring they are performing their duties in accordance with the standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both and external and internal guests. Handling all customer related queries with professionalism, empathy and understanding.
  • Monitor and maintain all concierge log and record sheets including, Courier logbooks, to be collected log, Storage log sheets and check storerooms for any unlabelled or un-accounted luggage.

Qualifications

Qualifications/skills

  • Previous experience in a managerial/supervisory role within the luxury hospitality sector for a minimum of 3 years
  • Ability to work across a flexible roster across 7days a week including weekends and public holidays
  • A Full New Zealand Driving Licence is a must and ability to drive manual preferred
  • Geographical Knowledge of Auckland is a must including restaurants, attractions, recreational activities, transportation systems etc.
  • Maintain good rapport with our guests as well as external business partners to develop and maintain relationships
  • High standards of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Legal working rights in New Zealand
