Counsellor Lvl 1/2: $70,944 - $101,211 per annum
Occupational Therapist Lvl 1/2: $70,944 - $101,211 per annum
Psychologist: $74,742 - $109,397 per annum
Registered Nurse: $72,152.52 - $101,299.47 per annum
Social Worker Lvl 1/2: $70,944 - $101,211 per annum
Welfare Officer Lvl 1/2: $70,944 - $101,211 per annum

What you'll be doing
The Community Mental Health Clinician provides recovery focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review for children and young people presenting with symptoms of mental illness, distress and/or risk issues.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist OR Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership for relevant professional association.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of contemporary clinical Child and Adolescent Mental Health practice including conducting mental health assessments, and the provision of evidence based interventions for children, adolescents and their families/carers, who are experiencing mental illness.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
  • Understanding of the concept and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery and demonstrated experience and skills using a collaborative, strengths based approach to the care of mental health consumers.
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers and other stakeholders, and a demonstrated high level proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.



Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015 All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
