Child Care Director

Overview
We are seeking a positive, dedicated and passionate Child Care Director to lead our childcare program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and coaching educators. Experience working with children, including those with challenges. As the Child Care Director, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment that fosters the growth and development of all children in our care. Communicating and Supporting Staff and Parent Engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Supervisors who oversee the daily operations of the child care facility, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards.
• Ensure the curriculum that promotes learning and development for children in various age groups is being followed, provide coaching.
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality caregiving practices.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff to create a welcoming community atmosphere.
• Conduct regular assessments using environmental tools, creating short and long term goals.
• Organize training sessions for staff on best practices in early childhood education and caregiving techniques.
• Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, and child development milestones. As well as health and other ministry requirements including Human Resources.

Requirements

• Early Childhood Education Diploma required.
• Proven experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting minimum 2 years.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving.
• Ability to educate staff on working with children with disabilities and adapting activities accordingly.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with parents, staff, and children.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a positive environment.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom that respects diversity among children and families.
• Leadership experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,868.00-$60,000.00 per year
