Sliabh Mish Childcare Services are a voluntary organisation operating a pre-school and after-school programme, based in Castlemaine, Co. Kerry. Sliabh Mish Childcare Services are recruiting for a Childcare Worker to join their team for September 2024.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week - and range between 07:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.
Pay Scale: Competitive (dependant on experience and qualification)
Staff discount for childcare available
Person Specifications
Requirements:
· Minimum QQI Level 5 Early Childhood Care & Education qualification is essential.
· Satisfactory completion of Garda Vetting requirements.
· Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children.
Desirable:
Previous experience is desirable but not essential.

Pay: €14.00-€17.00 per hour

- Under the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, all staff working directly with children in a pre-school service must hold at least a Level 5 major award in early childhood care and education on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), or a qualification that the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth has deemed to be equivalent.
