Childcare Practitioner/Early Years Educator

We are currently looking to hire a childcare practitioner for a part-time preschool for a local preschool service in knockcroghery village, located in St.Mary's National school, knockcroghery.

This is a term time contract for 38 weeks of the year.

Duties:

– In line with the Aistear Curriculum, plan and implement an age appropriate curriculum, based on children’s interests

– Document children’s learning and progress using iPad technology

– Comply with the Policies and Procedures of our service

– Ensure the safety and well being of the children in our service

– Assist in the daily cleaning routine and strict covid 19 policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Preferably Level 6 where candidate is seeking to progress to Level 7/8

– Excellent interpersonal skills

– Must be fluent in spoken and written English

– Be familiar with Early Years Regulations and Siolta and Aistear frameworks

Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.

Expirence with Tusla and DES inspections

The candidate would preferably have up to date training in First Aid Training, Child Protection, Manual Handling, full drivers licence and good i.t skills

Our service operates from the end of August to the end of June (term-time only contracts) The position is in our preschool room located in the local primary school

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to €16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
